How to Use SSL Encryption with Tweaknews
Tweaknews supports SSL encryption to help protect your Usenet activity from being observed by third parties. When SSL is enabled in your newsreader, all data transferred between your system and the Tweaknews servers is encrypted.
SSL encryption is recommended for all users. Without it, Internet service providers or network administrators may be able to monitor which newsgroups are accessed or interfere with connections.
SSL Server Addresses
Use the following server address to enable SSL encryption:
SSL Server: news.tweaknews.eu
SSL Ports: 563 or 443 (recommended if port 563 is blocked)
If your newsreader has a checkbox for SSL or TLS, make sure it is selected.
