First-Time Setup: Newsbin with Tweaknews

Configuration Guide

Tweaknews pairs with Newsbin to offer efficient Usenet browsing with high article retention and Indexer integration. Here’s how to configure Newsbin for your Tweaknews account.

Step 1: Open Newsbin

Begin the setup wizard on first launch.

Step 2: Tweaknews Server Setup

  • Go to Options > Servers

 

  • Click the "New Server" button.

 

  • Use the following:
    • Server Name: Tweaknews

    • Address: news.tweaknews.eu

    • SSL: Enabled (port 563)

    • Connections: Up to 60

    • Username: Enter your Tweaknews username

    • Password: Enter your Tweaknews password

Step 3: Choose Article Storage Location

Designate a folder for saved articles in Options > Settings > Setup.

Step 4: Final Tweaks

Test the connection and explore automation tools. Bandwidth settings are available at Options > Settings > Network.
