Tweaknews SABnzbd Guide: Configuration and Fixes

Tweaknews users benefit from SABnzbd’s streamlined automation and Web interface for accessing Usenet articles. By adding Tweaknews servers and an Indexer, SABnzbd works to queue, verify, and process articles.

Interface Navigation

  • Queue: Shows items in progress

  • History: Tracks successful and failed articles

  • Config: Set up servers, Indexers, and post-processing

  • Status: View throughput, threads, and server response

Troubleshooting Issues

Repair Stage Not Completing

This often happens due to a stuck par2 process. Use the task manager to stop the par2 task. SABnzbd will flag the article as failed and continue with the next item.

NZBs Not Processing

Look into:

  • Valid Tweaknews server name and port

  • Username and password match your Tweaknews account

  • API connection to your Indexer is active

  • No firewall or antivirus blocking ports

Performance Issues

Use 563 for SSL or 119 for unencrypted traffic. Adjust the number of connections based on the stability of your Internet connection and the capacity of the Tweaknews network.

Failed Unpack Steps

Logs in the History tab will show what step failed. You might need to turn off strict verification or use a different post-processing method.
