What Is the Address of the News Server?

To access Usenet through Tweaknews, you must configure your newsreader with the correct server address. This address is the destination your software connects to in order to access newsgroups and articles.

Primary Server Address

Use the following address when setting up your connection:

 

news.tweaknews.eu

 

This server supports both encrypted and unencrypted connections.

Port Numbers

Depending on your preferred level of encryption, you can choose from the following ports:

 

  • Encrypted (SSL/TLS): 563 or 993

  • Unencrypted: 119, 80, or 23

For privacy and security, it is recommended to use an encrypted port.

Account Credentials

To connect successfully, enter the username and password provided to you during signup. These details are required regardless of the port or encryption method used.
