Add an NNTP Server in NZBGet for Full Usenet Group Access

Connecting NZBGet to Tweaknews is straightforward with the right server information and credentials.

Steps

  1. Open NZBGet, navigate to Settings > NEWS-SERVERS.

  2. Click Add another Server and fill in the following:

    • Name: Usenet Provider

    • Host: news.example.com

    • Port: 563 (SSL) or 119 (non-SSL)

    • Encryption: Yes (for SSL)

    • Username: [Usenet login]

    • Password: [Usenet password]

    • Connections: Up to 60

  3. Click Save all changes.

Advice

  • Always prefer SSL connections on port 563.

  • Tweaknews supports long-term article retention across all newsgroups.

  • Review usage statistics in your control panel to fine-tune performance.
